Exciting Dessert Dash What’s this?
Each person at a table donates to that table’s “dessert pot”, the “pots” are collected, counted and one person
from the table with the most donations is first to “dash” to the dessert table and get the dessert their
table desires. But don’t be slow, the next winning table has already been announced and so on,
and so on till all the tables have been called, and all the desserts are gone.
So don’t “diddle dawdle” or you may miss your “just desserts”.

Welcome to SJV’s wonderful Gourmet Italian Dinner and exciting live auction. Tonight we encourage family and fun.
So please, sit back, relax and enjoy this special evening.
Oh, and yes...spend some money for a good cause.

DESSERT DASH
6:00 - 7:00 pm bidding, 8:00 pm Dash begins
Instructions

The only dessert provided is in the Dessert Dash. There is enough dessert for everyone, but there’s a twist! Here’s how it works.

1. Have fun! Check out the all the scrumptious desserts!     Remember your favorites.

2. Each table is a ‘team’. Each person/couple at the table puts their bid in the ‘Dessert Dash’ envelope provided on your table. This can be done by enclosing cash or a check made out to SJV (this makes accounting easier for us) or by filling out one of the blank bid sheets in the envelope with your bidder number and bid amount. The more you bid, the better your choices for desserts – keep reading!

3. Each table picks 1 ‘runner’ who will go pick out a dessert for your team when your table number is called after dinner – discuss your favorite desserts.

4. The envelopes will be collected and the amount in each envelope will be totaled. Tables will be ranked by the amount donated – the table that donated the most gets the first slot, the second most generous table gets the second, etc.

5. After dinner, table numbers will be called one at a time based on their rank. The table that donated the most gets to pick their dessert first, the second most generous table goes next, and so on. When your table number is called, your runner will pick out a dessert and bring it back to your table to share. The dessert choices diminish as table numbers are called, so the more generous your bid, the better your choices will be!
